Last Tuesday (9), during CES 2024 – the largest technology fair on the planet, which continues until the 12th, in Las Vegas (USA) – Hyperkin, a gaming hardware company, announced the Mega 95 your newest laptop.
The product, which resembles a large Mega Drive controller, has six buttons and a five-inch screen that can switch between two aspect ratios 4:3 and 16:9 with a button.
Furthermore, the new product, which has a battery that promises a duration of 10 hours per charge, is also similar to the brand's previous portable devices in the SupaBoy series – a line known for playing SNES and Super Famicom cartridges anywhere.
The highlights of Mega 95
Compared to other SupaBoy notebooks, the Mega 95's biggest selling point is that Hyperkin includes a docking station in the product packaging, allowing you to play at 720p resolution on a TV, in addition to having two inputs for Mega Drive controls.
It is worth mentioning that this is the first time that the company has created a portable solution for fans of the Sonic 3 cartridge to play it anywhere, without having to emulate the game on a portable PC.
Finally, Hyperkin has not yet given further details on the release date or price for the Mega 95, according to information from The Verge.
