Israel through its Armed Forces spokesman responded to the NYT report on the manner in which Ismail Haniya, the political leader of Hamas, was assassinated in Tehran. IDF spokesman Daniel Haggari received a question during a press conference and said the following, according to timesofisrael.com: “The IDF carried out only one airstrike on Tuesday night, in Lebanon, targeting Fouad Soukr. There was no other air strike in the Middle East that night, no missile or UAV,” he stressed.
