Two new movies of Marvel Cinematographic Universe (MCU) They are about to debut in theaters. The studio will release two more titles this year – after “Captain America: Admirable Mundo Novo” – and plans two major releases for 2026.
“Thunderbolts*” hits the big screen on May 1st, being the Last production of MCU phase five and two months later, the Phase six starts with “Fantastic Four: First Steps” .

- Thunderbolts* – May 1st
Finishing phase five of MCU, “Thunderbolts*” is Marvel’s second release this year. The film gathers antihero of the universe created by Stan Lee.
In the plot, a group of misfits are Arrested in a deadly trap armed by Valentina Allegra de Fontaine and embarked on a dangerous mission that will force them to confront the darkest songs of their past.
The production is starring Florence Pugh (interpreting black widow), David Harbor (Red guardian), Sebastian Stan (Winter Soldier), Wyatt Russel (American agent), Hannah-John Kamen (Training) and more.
- Fantastic Four: First Steps – July 24
A new version of “Fantastic Four,” which previously belonged to Sony Pictures, will be released by the superhero studio. The film begins the six MCU phase.
Set in the 1960s, Reed Richard (Mr. Fantástico), Sue Strom (invisible woman), Johnny Storm (human torch) and Ben Grimm (thing) are forced to balance family life with superheroes. They must defend the land of Galactus, a god of space, and the silver surfer, who intend to end the planet.
The title is starring Ebon Moss-Bachrach (“The Bear”), Vanessa Kirby (“Napoleon”), Pedro Pascal (“The Last of Us”) and Joseph Quinn (“Stranger Things). The plot has been adapted to the big screen previously in 1994 and 2005.
- Avengers: Doomsay – 2026
The new Avengers movie, which will bring Robert Downey Jr. back to the franchise, hits theaters in 2026. Details about the plot, however, have not yet been revealed.
Marvel has announced more than 27 names in the cast, which include actors from “X-Men”, “Fantastic Four”, “Deadpool & Wolverine”, “Thunderbolts*” and more. See the full list here.
- Spider-Man 4 – 2026
Without details about the plot, the recordings of Tom Holland’s fourth superhero movie start this year. The launch was on July 2026.
- Avengers: Secret Wars – 2027
The second movie of the new Avengers saga is scheduled for 2027. More information about the plot has not yet been revealed.
