But it will suspend the duties he had announced for the rest of the world, for which only a “payroll” duty of 10% will apply. “Due to the lack of respect for China against international markets (…) I am increasing tariffs in China to 125%,” he wrote. “At the same time, due to the willingness of more than 75 countries to negotiate, I have been suspended for 90 days of the reciprocal duties that will be significantly reduced during this period, to 10% and will be effectively entered into force” for other countries.
