“We finally arrived in Rio!”, he said Madonna right at the beginning of the show in Copacabana that marks the end of the “The Celebration Tour”.
“Thank you very much for waiting for us and for having me here. I’m so happy to be here”, added the singer.
The tour celebrates the queen of pop's 40-year career and Madonna explained to the audience: “I'm going to tell the story of my life, it's not a film, it's real life. My life is crazy and you guys are a big part of it. I will tell stories as if I were reading my diary. Personal stories, secrets, dreams, things that people don't know. Only the people of Rio.”
Before, she even made an appeal: “Please let me speak in English, my Portuguese is horrible. I only know bad words, I can’t say many here.”
The free and public show on Copacabana beach promises to be a historic milestone in Madonna's career.
