At 67 years old, the singer Chrystian from the country duo with Ralph died last Wednesday night (19), after being admitted to Hospital Samaritano, in São Paulo.
The musician, who was diagnosed with polycystic kidney – a disorder in which cysts develop in the organs – was admitted to hospital in February this year to undergo a kidney transplant, but the surgery was postponed after unforeseen events in the pre-operative exams.
Going beyond his musical career, the artist, who gave voice to many romantic and timeless songs, was also known for his brief romance with Gretchen, 65, whom he married in 1981.
According to Uol, in the book “An Almost Unauthorized Biography” released in 2015, the singer and dancer states that the relationship was marked by several betrayals between the singer and the chacretes – the presenter Chacrinha’s stage assistants.
“In front of the cameras, he seemed like a husband but, when he returned home, he filled our bed with women. I was so traumatized that, for a long time, I didn’t want to hear the word marriage,” she said of the union.
Dating Rita Cadillac
Chrystian also had a romance with Rita Cadillac , 70, former chacrete. Rumors at the time claimed that the musician had even cheated on Gretchen with the dancer, which he denies.
“People thought it was me, because I dated Chrystian two years after they broke up. But whoever went out with him when they were married was another mess”, assured Rita in an interview with the newspaper Extra in 2017.

Currently, Chrystian was married to the influencer Key Vieira 54, who, on social media, produces content about yoga, fashion and lifestyle.
The two, who completed 29 years of marriage in April this year, met in the city of Cassilândia, in Mato Grosso do Sul. The union gave rise to João Pedro Vieira 22, and Lia Vieira of 12.
On Valentine’s Day, Key declared himself to Chrystian. “Just passing by to say that I love you so much, in this and every life we meet. My little bird,” she wrote.
