“This has to serve as a warning to people who think that promoting anti-Semitism, applauding Hamas, is something simple. It’s not something simple. We cannot adhere to this type of conduct. Brazil must continue to be a place of good coexistence between all peoples and all religions”, stated Bialski.

The vice-president of Conib defended that the investigation into acts of extremist groups in the country continues.

“Like Hezbollah, Hamas also has people here who encourage its actions. So, all these people have to be investigated. All these people have to understand that in Brazil anti-Semitism is a crime.”

Bialski added that “the law that encompasses anti-Semitism can lead to imprisonment, yes.” “So, let these people control their words, control their feelings, control their hatred. Because if they act in this way, not only will Conib represent the public authorities but I am sure that the police, the Public Ministry will act independently to search for these people, to prosecute these people and to punish all these people”, he said. the vice-president of Conib.

According to Brazilian law, both recruiters and recruits must respond for the crimes of establishing or joining terrorist organizations, in addition to carrying out preparatory acts of terrorism. The maximum penalty can be up to 15 years and 6 months in prison, without the possibility of bail or amnesty, as the crimes provided for in the Terrorism Law are equated with heinous crimes.
