President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) participated in a ceremony this Wednesday (15) in allusion to the duplication work on BR-101, in Maruim, Sergipe.
In a speech, the president highlighted the investment in works that will be made by the federal government and added that a new Bolsa Família will be announced in the coming days.
“Next week, we are going to announce a new Bolsa Familia of BRL 600 and another BRL 150 for each child up to six years old, so that we can guarantee in childhood, when the child most needs to be nourished, that the mother can buy food for these children”, said the president.
Lula stated that the approval of the Transition PEC allowed investment in the resumption of works in the country.
“I am announcing that more than 14 thousand works that were paralyzed in this country during the last six years, these works will start working again because Brazil needs to grow, generate jobs, generate income, generate consumption, generate education, generate improvement in quality of people’s lives,” he said.
The president thanked senators and deputies for approving the PEC.
“I want to thank every federal deputy from Sergipe who was with us. To the senators who were with us and to the people who helped us. The approval of the PEC is the reason why I’m here today telling you: Brazil is back to work, Brazil is back to work. It is important to know that all deputies – and I will need all of them so that we can make the changes that we have to make in the country”, stated Lula.
