Buffett answered a question about the current de-dollarization trend and warned about the extent to which the US is printing money.
“Forget about all the toys. Thinking about any tokens is a joke, it’s crazy. But it’s also crazy to just keep printing money,” he said when asked about the world’s global currency and bitcoin.
However, Buffett backed the dollar, saying he sees no candidates to replace it as the world’s reserve currency.
“However, people are losing faith in the currency. It changes the economy,” he said.
Earlier in April, Buffett once again criticized bitcoin, calling it an asset “devoid of intrinsic value and suitable only for gambling.”
Earlier it became known that the high commissions in the Bitcoin network and the accumulated unconfirmed transactions caused discussions among users that Bitcoin was being attacked by a denial of service (DoS) attack.
