THE Turkey does not intend to participate in the sanctions against Russia for its invasion of Ukraine. The above was announced by the Turk Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoλουluas reported by the Anadolu agency.
It is reminded that o President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan asked the European Union earlier on Tuesday (1/3) to face his country like Ukraine, without expecting to be “hit by a war”.
“Show the same sensitivity in Turkey as you do in Ukraine,” Erdogan told a news conference in Ankara with Kosovo President Biosa Osmani.
Referring to the situation in Ukraine and Kiev’s request to join the EU, the Turkish President noted: “They applaud (Ukrainian President Volodymyr) Zelensky in the European Parliament. Very nice. “So it took a catastrophe to do that. But Turkey will not expect a catastrophe.”
