In his night sermon, its president Of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyused the words that have changed the daily life of his people, but also of the whole world after the beginning of Russian invasion of his country on 24 February.
The Ukrainian leader stressed: “100 days ago we woke up to a different reality, 100 days ago we woke up with different selves. It is no longer these sunbeams that weaken the Ukrainians, but the bombs that hit our homes. Then surely different selves have “awakened” within us. Eight years ago the Russians came up with a new word for us: war. On February 24, he added an entire phrase: total war».
He went on to say: “In these 100 days there have been words that we would like to forget, but they explain the sufferings we have gone through. There are words of our parents and grandparents that we had to learn and that everyone would like to forget about the horror they remind us of».
Zelensky spoke about the heroes of Ukraine, he also spoke about the cities where either the Ukrainian armed forces celebrated successes or cities that are now under Russian occupation or have been razed to the ground. He stressed that either they will release them or they will do everything to rebuild them.
He also spoke about the weapons and equipment that are now an integral part of the Ukrainian, but also of the world everyday life: “Bayraktar, Harpoon, HIMARS, Rzeszow, Starlink and Javelin that the enemy is so afraid of because they thought that the protection they had would save them. That’s why he put a smile on his face when he was named Saint Javelin. A toast to… Poseidon (s.s. Neptune, the type of missile that sank the Moskva warship) ». He also referred particularly to the infamous “Ghost of Kiev”.
“We may not have heard those words in our lives, but now it is these words that give us the opportunity to live as long as we are written to live. From God, not from the enemy. God – a word and an appeal that has been heard more than once and always in a special way». He referred to the justice that Ukraine will not stop seeking against it ‘Invasion, of Mordor and the orcs. He also spoke about the 261 children who have lost their lives to Russian attacks and referred to the future of children in Ukraine and the “Words to be learned only as history, such as sirens, air raid…”. In λέ Zelensky ξ’s dictionary there is also the word “liberation”, but also the phrase “Death to the enemy” and closed by saying the three words “For which we have been fighting for eight years now, but also these 100 days: peace, victory, Ukraine”.
