The president of France sends a strict message against Russia, while war in Ukraine to be continued. THE Emmanuel Macron specifically requested on Tuesday (23/8) from the international community to show “no weakness, no spirit of compromise” towards Vladimir Putin’s country.
“We cannot show any weakness, any spirit of compromise, because it is about freedom for all of us and peace on all sides of the planet“, he states in his video message at the summit of the “Crimea Platform”, in which the states that support the Ukraine.
“Choose diplomacy to restore peace”
Emmanuel Macron also called once more Russia “to cease hostilities, withdraw its troops from all Ukrainian territory and choose diplomacy to restore peace.”
The Europeans are ready to support Ukraine’s fight forever, said the French president addressing President Volodymyr Zelensky.
“France and the European Union, along with many allies and friends of Ukraine, are doing what is necessary to support your fight,” he said according to the Athens News Agency.
“Our determination has not changed and we are ready to maintain this effort forever,” Emmanuel Macron stressed.
