War in Ukraine: Biden Announces Largest Military Aid Package – Gives Almost 3 Billion Euros

The biggest package to date military aid to Ukraine in the amount of almost 3 billion dollars, the president of the United States announced on Wednesday (24/8) Joe Biden.

Exactly six months after its launch war in Ukraine Joe Biden congratulated Zelenskiy’s country on its national holiday.

US military aid of $2.98 billion “will allow Ukraine to acquire anti-aircraft defense systemsartillery systems and munitions, unmanned anti-aircraft systems and radars to ensure that it continues to defend itself in the long term,” Joe Biden said in a statement issued by the White House.

“I am proud to announce our largest military aid package to date”

“The United States is determined to support the Ukrainian people as they continue their struggle to defend their sovereignty. As part of this commitment, I am proud to announce our largest military aid package to date: approximately $2.98 billion in weapons and equipment,” the US president noted, as reported by the Athens News Agency.

“I know that this day of independence causes mixed feelings for many Ukrainians, because thousands of people have been killed or injured, millions have been displaced from their homes, and so many more have fallen victim to Russian attacks. But the six months of non-stop attacks have only strengthened the pride of Ukrainians for themselves, for their country and for their 31 years of independence,” he pointed out.
