War in Israel: Brazilian who was at festival is found dead, says family

Brazilian Ranani Nidejelski Glazer, aged 24, was found dead, as confirmed by the young man’s family to CNN. Itamaraty has not yet officially reported the death.

Ranani’s father recognized the boy’s body, according to a cousin.

He had been missing since Saturday (7), when the Islamic group Hamas, considered terrorist by the United States and the European Union, attacked a rave — an electronic music party — where he was attending with his girlfriend.

Ranani even posted on social media about the bombing of a bunker. He had lived in Israel for approximately seven years, and resided in Tel Aviv.

He had recently finished his military service, mandatory in the country, and worked as a delivery boy.

Ranani was born in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, and previously worked as a video editor and animated advertising designer.

The young man’s girlfriend, Rafaela Treistman, who was with him during the attack, reported in an exclusive interview with CNN moments of panic.

“I don’t really remember things. I know that at one point he was with me, we were in a corner, hugging, and at another time he was no longer there. I was so disoriented that I asked a girl next to me ‘Ranani, is that you?’. And she didn’t respond,” she says.

Bruna Valeanu

Bruna Valeanu, Brazilian missing in Israel after Hamas attacks

Bruna Valeanu, aged 24, was born in Rio de Janeiro and currently lives in Petah Tikva, having moved to Israel in 2015. She attended the TTH Barilan school, in Brazil.

Bruna’s sister confirmed the young woman’s disappearance on social media.

Bruna studies Communication and Sociology/Anthropology at Tel Aviv University. In a publication, the young woman had said that she was developing skills in marketing and social networks.

She was also a shooting instructor for the Israel Defense Forces for two years between 2018 and 2020.

He also worked in sales at an insurance company in Israel.

Karla Stelzer

Karla Stelzer, Brazilian missing in Israel after Hamas attacks

Another missing Brazilian is Karla Stelzer from Rio.

Itamaraty does not disclose the names of the missing, but, as the CNN Karla was at a music festival that was attacked by Hamas.

A CNN, A friend of the Brazilian informed that she has a son who also lives in Israel.

He reported what would be the last audio sent by Karla to a friend. In the message, she would have said that she was with at least three other people.

At first, according to the description, they thought the rockets were fireworks from the party and said they were fleeing the scene.

Karla’s mother, Regina Stelzer, also confirmed her daughter’s disappearance on social media, and said that she was accompanied by her boyfriend, Israeli Gabriel Azulay, who is also missing.
