THE Volodymyr Zelensky with his message on facebook he praised the efforts of Ukrainians of soldiers who “are number one and keep us alive”. In the meantime, in his night sermon on Thursday night (23/2) he described the situation in the east of Ukraine as very difficult and painful. At the same time, he said hello the UN resolution for the withdrawal of Russian forces from his country.
“Ukrainian soldiers defending us all on the front lines are number one. Thanks to these defenders, Ukraine stands strong, fights and lives,” the Ukrainian president said and continued: “Evil lurks and the battle continues, but we know that in the end victory will surely be ours.”.
Describing the progress of the war as it marks one year since the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Zelensky said: “In the east, the situation is very difficult. Painful. We are doing everything to endure. In the south in some areas, things are dangerous, but we have the means to react. We have Odessa and the Black Sea under our control. In the north we are watching every movement of the enemy and preparing”. He closed using offensive words: “Whatever Russian terrorists and bastards do and destroy, we will fix it all”.
Through his Twitter account, Zelensky has now accepted with great satisfaction the UN resolution calling on Russia to immediately withdraw its forces from Ukrainian territory.
“Thank you to the countries that supported this UN resolution that underlines the need for peace in Ukraine. It is another sign of support for the country, a credential of the solidarity of the world community now that a year of war is completed, but also another proof that the world supports the Ukrainian formula for peace.”he said.
Zelensky, in fact, quoted what each country voted for. Greece was one of the 141 that voted in favor of the UN resolution.
