A possible capture of Bakhmut would open the way for Moscow’s forces to Kramatorsk, a major industrial center in the Donetsk region. Zelensky emphasized that the Ukrainian authorities are examining in detail the plan to deal with the moves made by the Russian side in order to continue repelling the waves of attacks they are receiving in order not to allow further loss of territory.
