“Vladimir, Stop!”: Trump gives Ultimato after Russian attacks against Kiev

United States President Donald Trump expressed on Thursday (24) discontent with Russian attacks against Kiev, warning that Russia’s president Vladimir Putin should interrupt the offensive.

“I’m not satisfied with the Russian attacks on Kiev,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

“Unnecessary and at a bad time. Vladimir, stop! 5,000 soldiers are dying a week. Let’s complete the peace agreement!” He added.

The comments were made a day after the Republican accuse Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, of prolonging the war by not agreeing with a US peace proposal that would in essence give control of all Russian controlled territory in Ukraine to Moscow.

Trump said Zelensky is harder to deal with Putin.

“I think we have an agreement with Russia. We have to reach an agreement with the Ukrainian President and I hope he – I thought it would be easier to deal with Zelensky – so far it has been harder,” the Republican said in the Oval Hall.

Hours later, Russia began the deadliest attack on the Ukrainian capital in nine months, killing at least eight people, according to Ukraine Attorney General.

The president of Ukraine said he believed that bombing aimed to “press” the White House amid pressure on the US ceasefire agreement.

“Today’s attack is one of the most complex and bold in Russia,” Zelensky said during a trip to South Africa.

“Russia understands that Ukraine is firm and protecting its rights, and (Russia) is pressing our people. It is also pressuring the US, which I think is also related to this attack. First,” he said to reporters.
