Paralympic athlete Vinicius Rodrigues, 29, was announced as one of the participants in the new edition of Big Brother Brasil. He will be part of the Camarote group.
Vinicius Rodrigues is 29 years old and a Paralympic athlete. Born in Primavera, Rosana district, in São Paulo, the sprinter participated in the Lima Parapan American Games (2019) and the Tokyo Paralympics (2020), having won a silver medal for Brazil in the last competition.
At the age of 19, Vinicius suffered a traffic accident in the city of Maringá, Paraná, and had part of his left leg amputated. While still in the hospital, he received a visit from Paralympic athlete Terezinha Guilhermina, who introduced him to athletics. His first Paralympic competition was in 2015.
Four years later, during a tournament, he broke the world record for the 100-meter dash in the T63 class for leg above-the-knee amputees, with a time of 11.95. On social media, he often shares his training and competition routine, as well as moments with his seven-year-old daughter.
The announcement of the participants is being made this Friday (5), during breaks in TV Globo programming. The premiere of BBB 24 takes place next Monday (8).
