Images from a toll plaza on the MT-242 highway showed the moment a small plane crashed on the side of the road. The accident occurred this Friday morning (7) in the city of Sorriso, around 400 kilometers from Cuiabá. Two people died.

The video was recorded by a security camera at the Intervias dealership. In the image, it is possible to see the moment when the aircraft approaches the ground at high speed and collides with the ground. Then a ball of fire and black smoke appears.
Between the moment the plane appears in the video for the first time – still flying – until the flames appear, 20 seconds pass.

According to the Fire Department, witnesses said that the plane had taken off shortly before on a farm and was destined for the city of São José do Rio Claro (MT), 300 kilometers from Cuiabá.
The distance between Sorriso and São José do Rio Claro is approximately 190 kilometers. According to firefighters, the aircraft was returning to Sorriso after a breakdown.
The Fire Department reported that the two victims were burned to death.
