A video circulating on social media shows two civil police officers attacking two young people during an approach in the city of Conselheiro Pena, in the interior of the state of Minas Gerais.
In the images you can see two boys with their hands behind their heads and their legs apart. One of the police officers just watches his colleague attacking the boys.
After hitting the first boy on the ear, the police officer releases the boy, who takes the bike and leaves the place. Afterwards, it is possible to see the police officer heading towards the other boy, who is also attacked and leaves the scene of the video.
According to a note released by the Civil Police on an official profile on social media, the incident occurred in the city of Conselheiro Pena, on October 30 of this year.
Also according to the note, the Civil Police of Minas Gerais (PCMG) clarifies that it does not condone the conduct practiced and that the approach taken does not match the values and protocols of the institution.
A CNN asked the Civil Police whether a procedure would be opened to investigate the approach, but received no response until the publication of this article.
