A high-ranking Russian general died in a car bomb attack in the Russian city of Balashikha on Friday (25), according to authorities.
Izvesia newspaper has published a video that shows a person approaching parked cars in front of an apartment complex.

Reuters was able to confirm the location through the structure of the building, the general disposition of the garden and the parking area, which coincided with the file and satellite images.
The date of the video and the identity of the deceased officer, Yaroslav Moskalik, deputy chief of the Main Board of Operations of the Russian Armed Armed Forces General Operations, were confirmed by the Russian Investigative Committee.
The news of the explosion was released shortly before Steve Witkoff, a special envoy by US President Donald Trump, meet Russia President Vladimir Putin in Moscow.
Moskalik, who occupied the patent of Major General, was part of several high-ranking Russian delegations, according to reports from the Ministry of Defense and press reports.
He joined the Russian contingent at a meeting in October 2015 of Normandy format, a group formed by teams from Germany, Russia, Ukraine and France that supervised Minsk’s agreements, designed to end the war between Ukraine and Russian -backed separatist forces that broke out in 2014.
Moskalik represented the army’s staff in negotiations alongside Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Kremlin’s advisor Yuri Ushakov, according to the Kremlin website.
