A 19-year-old motorcyclist was hit by a large tree while driving along Aguapé Street, in the Chácaras Tubalina neighborhood of Uberlândia, Minas Gerais, last Friday (14). The accident was recorded by a security camera.
The video shows a car passing down the street, just behind, a motorcycle approaches and the tree starts to fall, everything is very fast and the biker cannot escape.
The tree falls whole on the motorcycle, with the branches also reaching the electrical wires on the street. See below:
The Fire Department was called and arrived quickly to the scene to help the victim. After evaluation and immobilization, the motorcyclist was sent to the Integrated Care Unit (UAI) of the Planalto neighborhood, where he received medical attention.
According to the Civil Defense, the fall of the tree caused several inconvenience in the region. In addition to damaging the power grid, the tree blocked Jacarepaguá Street, preventing the traffic of vehicles and pedestrians.
The Secretariat of Traffic and Transport (Settran) signaled the place to ensure the safety of those passing by the street.
Teams from the municipal garden cut the trunk and the branches that were obstructing the road. The others will be cut next Monday (17).
