A 69-year-old man was dragged by a car in an attempt to recover his own vehicle, which had been stolen moments before, in the early hours of Tuesday (9).
The incident occurred in Ribeirão das Neves, a city in the metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte, in Minas Gerais. The state’s Military Police reported that officers were called around midnight.
The victim was preparing to park his car in his garage when he stopped his car with the key in the ignition to open the gate.
At that moment, the 35-year-old suspect of the theft, who was sitting on the sidewalk and was not showing any aggression, got into the car without the victim noticing and started to flee.

The police were informed that the vehicle had a tracker and that its location indicated the region of Olhos D’água, in Belo Horizonte.
After locating the vehicle, the officers removed it. However, while they were waiting for the tow truck, an individual approached the car and tried to unlock it, with the key in hand.
