Victoria and Mette-Marit, two princesses coordinated like drops of water

The neighborhood relationship is so good that even in the look you can see the harmony. Princess Mette-Marit and her husband Haakonthe crown prince of Norway, are these days in official visit to Sweden to cement, if ever it were needed, the excellent relationship that exists between the two Scandinavian countries.
To welcome them and accompany them for this three days full of commitments, there can only be the heir to the Swedish throne Victoria and her husband Prince Daniel who in addition to being “colleagues” are also dear friends of their Norwegian counterparts (they go on holidays together, so to speak). Those smiles are not certain of circumstance but there is a link that goes beyond the label: Victoria, for example, is Ingrid-Alexandra’s godmotherthe eldest daughter of Haakon and Mette-Marit.

Mette-Marit and Victoria perfectly matched as well as their respective husbands: Haakon, however, chose a lilac tie.

Whether they hit the phone to agree on the wardrobe to show off is not known but, judging by the shots, the two at least prove to have similar tastes. Mette-Marit and Victoria chose two light outfits for the daytime commitments of the first day. The first wore a signature white flowered dress Pia Tjeltaa well-known actress at home who also launched a fashion collection, combining it with a sand coat by ByMalinathe same Swedish brand of Victoria’s dress seen on other occasions.

For the evening event in Stockholm the princesses looked like two nymphs out of the water with different but perfectly coordinated clothes. Victoria literally wore her waves on her because of the graphic of the dress Maxjenny! while Mette-Marit opted for a vintage garment of a very intense blue with an extraordinary history. It is an example dating back to the 60s hand-woven by the countess Ebba von Eckermann. The aristocrat, born in 1921, was the daughter of a seamstress who services her to the fashion houses of the time. She married Count Erik von Eckermann in 1947 and moved to Ripsa, a town south of the capital. Two years later she founded a textile company to offer jobs to women in the area which in a few years became a reference point for Swedish fashion and beyond. The garments that the maison made were also sold in New York, Paris and London.

The second day opened in the name of color. The “hostess” showed up with a fuchsia jacket and trousers suit confirming the trend of this spring-summer. Mette-Marit instead dusted off Tome’s sleeveless striped trench coat, the eco-sustainable brand founded in 2014 in New York very active in the fight against human trafficking. Style and commitment, a combination that unites the two royal friends.
