A new repatriation flight bringing 178 Venezuelans back to the country landed on Thursday (10) in Venezuela, while the national government required the United States to send back more women and children.
This was the thirteenth repatriation flight, which landed at Simón Bolivar International Airport from the US, with a Honduras scale.
Venezuelan immigrants were welcomed by the Minister of Inner Relations, Justice and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, who said none of the repatriates so far – which add up to 2,366 – belongs to the gang Tren de Aragua.
On Wednesday (9L), US judges announced that they would impose new limits on President Donald Trump’s attempts to deport alleged Venezuelan gang members based on a law of war times after the US Supreme Court annul a broad ban on these deportations in another court.
Repatriation flights with state airline Convisa are part of an agreement between Washington and Caracas.
