Valentine’s Day: meet 7 couples who left the screen for real life

Love is in the air on and off screen. It’s common to see actors fall in love while recording a soap opera, series or film and go on to experience a romance in fiction and in real life. Meet seven couples below who met on set, are still together and will celebrate Valentine’s Day this Wednesday (12).

  • Adriana Esteves and Vladimir Brichta

Together for 20 years, the Brazilian actors met while recording the soap opera “Heart of a Student” , in 2002. In the plot, they played the couple Nélio and Amelinha and took their relationship into real life. Together, they had Vicente, 17 years old.

  • Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez

The couple’s story began in 2001, when they recorded the romantic comedy “Risk Contact” (2002). They took their love off-screen and got engaged in 2002, but ended their relationship the following year. In 2021, they rekindled their romance and got married in 2022.

  • Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds

Despite the box office failure, the film “Green Lantern” (2012) served to unite one of Hollywood’s most beloved couples. The parents of four children met during the filming of the film and made it official the year the film was released.

  • Camila Queiroz and Klebber Toledo

The actors met during the program “Criança Esperança”, on TV Globo, shortly before they started recording “Eta Mundo Bom!” from 2016. In the plot, they play as a couple and took their relationship off screen.

Waiting for their third child, the couple has been together, on and off, since 2015. They met while filming the film “Jonas” (2015) and took over after launch. In 2019, they got married.

  • Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz

The Spanish Hollywood couple met decades ago, in 1992, when they filmed “Jamón, jamón” . In 2008, they starred in another film together, “Vicky Cristina Barcelona” , and got into a relationship. Married since 2010, Bardem and Cruz are parents to Leo, 13, and Luna, 20.
