Two people were killed and three others were injured yesterday Wednesday (24/8) from pyre strangers in the northwest Washington of United States of Americaas the police announced.
Police received a call around 12:50 (local time) about shots fired at two different locations. Police officers who rushed there found two people lying dead, while three injured people sought medical attention at nearby hospitals.
According to preliminary investigation data, authorities are looking for two suspects who were seen getting out of a “small black SUV” and then firing semi-automatic weapons at bystanders. They then got back into their car and drove away.
Eyewitnesses reported hearing up to ten gunshots. Police cordoned off surrounding streets, and a nearby school went into lockdown on the first day of classes.
A representative of the local police, Asan Benedict, spoke of an “open-air drug market” at this point. He told reporters that law enforcement officers frequently patrol the Truxton Circle area and make arrests for drug possession.
