USA says 10 more “criminals” arrived in El Salvador

United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that 10 more alleged members of international gangs arrived in El Salvador on Saturday night (12), where the Trump government has been deporting alleged criminals

“Last night, 10 more criminals from foreign terrorist organizations MS-13 and Tren de Aragua arrived in El Salvador,” Rubio wrote in an X post on Sunday (13).

The head of US diplomacy greeted the alliance between President Donald Trump and Salvadorenian President Nayib Bukele, who are expected to meet on Monday (14) in the White House as an “example of security and prosperity in our hemisphere.”

The Trump government deported hundreds of migrants who claim to be gang members but refused to reveal their identities or evidence against them, triggering protests and lawsuits from migrant families and critics who say the government is disrespecting civil liberties.

Two US authorities said to CNN Last week that the government was preparing to send more immigrants with criminal records for the notorious megaprison of El Salvador, just after a Supreme Court order allows the use of a broad war authority for deportations for now.
