Mangione’s lawyers did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Mangione declared innocent of New York state accusations of murder as an act of terrorism and crimes of weapons.
He can take life prison without parole if he is sentenced in this case.
New York has no death penalty for state accusations.
Mangione faces a parallel federal accusation about the murder of Thompson. He can get a death penalty if he is sentenced in this case.
The accused has not yet been invited to file a confession of federal accusations.
