The citizens of the United States (USA) who submitted new applications for unemployment insurance decreased to 215K for the week ending on April 12, according to the US Department of Labor (DOL) on Thursday. This figure was below the initial estimates and was less than the total revised of the previous week of 224K (reviewed from 223k).
The report also highlighted an seasonally adjusted unemployment rate of 1.2%, while the four -week mobile average decreased by 2,500 to 220,750 from the average revised of the previous week.
In addition, the Continuous requests Unemployment subsidy increased by 41K to reach 1,885m for the week ending on April 5.
Market reaction
The dollar maintains its bullish impulse on Thursday, reviewing the 99.60 area and gathering a new buying interest after playing fund about 99.20 during early trade.
