The United States government has information that points to Russia being behind the destruction of a major dam in the Ukrainethe American network NBC News reported today, citing three officials, including two Americans.
Joe Biden’s administration is working to declassify some information and release it as early as Tuesday afternoon (local time), NBC News reported.
A torrent of water has been released from the large dam on the Dnieper River that separates Russian and Ukrainian forces in southern Ukraine, flooding part of the war zone and forcing villagers to flee their homes.
Ukraine accused Russia of blowing up the Dnieper dam at Nova Kakhovka, while the Kremlin said Ukraine sabotaged the dam.
