United States authorities said they believe the six people missing after the collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore are dead. The statement was made by the American Coast Guard on Tuesday night (26).
A spokesperson for the institution said that, based on the time since the bridge collapsed and the low water temperatures, “we do not believe we will find any of these individuals still alive.”
Rescue teams also suspended the search for victims, as parts of the bridge are moving in the water and conditions were considered unsafe for firefighters and divers.
A cargo ship lost power before colliding with the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore, United States. There were eight people in the structure at the time of the accident. Two were rescued alive.
