The Retail sales of the United Kingdom rebounded 0.4% intermensual in March After moving 0.7% in February, according to the latest data published Friday by the National Statistics Office (ONS). The markets were waiting for a 0.4% drop in the informed month.
Underlying retail sales, excluding car fuel sales, increased an intermencing 0.5%, compared to the previous revised growth of 0.7% and the estimated reading of -0.3%.
Annual retail sales in the United Kingdom increased 2.6% in March compared to 2.2% in February, while basic retail sales also grew 3.3% in the same month compared to the previous review of 1.8%. Both readings exceeded market expectations.
