Bruno Aiub, known as Monark, will no longer be able to receive money from YouTube for the videos produced. The platform’s decision comes after the former presenter of the Flow podcast defended the possibility of the existence of a Nazi party in Brazil.
This Friday (18), he published the image of an email he received from the video network announcing the ban on monetization of his content and incorrectly saying that he could not create a new channel. However, Monark was blocked from accessing his account’s monetization tools.
I’m suffering political persecution from @YouTubeBrasil they forbade me to create a new channel to be able to continue my life, powerful people want to destroy me. Freedom of expression died. pic.twitter.com/qOranYd2Au

He will still be able to create other channels on YouTube, but he will not be able to apply for the partner program, which selects the creators who will be paid.
THE CNN, the YouTube Brasil press office confirmed that the decision was taken from Monark’s violation of established community guidelines, referring to speeches about Nazism. The rules established for publishing videos are global, and users who violate them are subject to bans.
The enforcement does not prevent Monark from posting videos to the existing channel and new ones, but it will no longer be remunerated for the content. In order to be part of the partner program and be monetized, the content creator goes through a platform selection – Monark is therefore not eligible to be accepted into the program at this time, not even with a new channel, as YouTube faces violations as being made by the user, and not just by an account.
“All content posted on the platform, regardless of whether it is monetized or not, must follow YouTube’s Community Guidelines.”
Network reaction
On his social networks, Aiub published on the topic and declared that “freedom of expression is dead”. He also claimed that he was banned from “creating a new channel so he could continue his life”.
He recorded a video asking for the help of his followers to regain monetization on his videos.
Monark said his comments were “unfortunate” but “in no way defended any extremist ideology.”
In an episode of the Flow podcast, he stated, “I think there had to be a Nazi party recognized by law,” he said. “If the guy wants to be an anti-Jew, I think he had a right to be,” he added.
After the negative repercussion of the speeches, he was fired from Flow Studios and sold his share in the company’s partnership.
