Under pressure, Doria analyzes research for SP; Lula insists on Alckmin as vice

Internal resistance in the PSDB and the low rates of João Doria in electoral polls about the presidential race made the governor of São Paulo begin to look at the state itself, commissioning qualitative and quantitative surveys to understand his popularity in the São Paulo government. .

The Ipespe survey for the state government released this Friday (18) points to the leadership of PT candidate Fernando Haddad in all scenarios. The survey also indicates that the eventual participation of ex-governor Geraldo Alckmin (without a party) as vice president on the ticket of ex-president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva for the presidency is a factor that helps Haddad in the electoral race.

João Doria’s electoral options and the dispute for the government of São Paulo are one of the highlights of this Friday’s episode of the Hora de Brasília podcast, presented by Daniela Lima and Renata Agostini.

Amid the moves for the October elections, former president Lula considers Alckmin as his only alternative for vice, and the former toucan still has the PSB as his main choice of party after leaving the PSDB.

Lula and Alckmin have constant conversations, and the former governor also talks with the evangelical sector to try to attract support for PT in the race for the presidency.

On other fronts, Gilberto Kassab’s PSD maintains the articulation to convince the governor of Rio Grande do Sul, Eduardo Leite, to leave the PSDB and be the party’s candidate for the Planalto, in case senator Rodrigo Pacheco decides not to run for president.

Former judge Sergio Moro (Podemos) has sought to move in search of alliances and hopes to win the support of Cidadania and create bridges for a rapprochement with Senator Simone Tebet (MDB).

In the Dictionary of Brasília, Daniela and Renata clarify doubts about electronic voting machines and highlight the responses of the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) to questions presented by the Armed Forces about the voting process.

The duo also describes the expectation about the TSE’s role in combating disinformation during the electoral campaign, after the change in the presidency of the court, with Minister Luís Roberto Barroso being succeeded by Edson Fachin.

In the speech that marked Barroso’s last session in command of the TSE, the minister criticized attempts to discredit the electoral process in what he described as a “mambembe repetition” of what Donald Trump did in the United States.
