Ukraine: Pro-Russian separatist commander announces ‘recruitment of veterans’

One of the commanders of the Russian-speaking separatists in eastern Ukraine tried to rally his veteran soldiers on Thursday, announcing a possible conflict in the region.

According to Reuters, Alexander Khodakovsky, a former political leader of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic who now heads a military unit, said “everyone who wants to rejoin their ranks must be ready.”

“In previous meetings with militia veterans, the sequence of actions was discussed and the gathering points were indicated. I will inform you of the date and time of the gathering by all available means,” Hodakowski wrote on his Telegram account.
