Ukraine may have mocked Russia for sending convicts to the front lines of the war, but it has finally decided to enlist people from prisons as it runs out of soldiers. A bill passed by the Ukrainian parliament and awaiting Zelensky's signature to be implemented provides amnesty for prisoners who have fought for at least six months. The website “Business Insider” reported that the law is not addressed to everyone, because those convicted of the following crimes are excluded: crimes that threaten the national security of Ukraine, premeditated murder of two or more people, rape, sexual violence, molestation of minors, provocation death while driving under the influence of alcohol, illegal drug-related activities, corruption offences.
