Apparently, Samsung’s Exynos 2200 single-chip platform turned out to be completely different from what was intended. Much has already been said about its poor performance compared to Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, and according to new data, the Galaxy S22 Ultra on Exynos 2200 (that is, those sold in Russia and Europe) has problems with autonomy and stabilization when shooting video.

In the test for autonomy, two Galaxy S22 Ultra were tested in real operating modes – browsing the Internet, playing games, social networks. Here the model on Exynos 2200 lags behind, but not much. But the standby mode turned out to be fatal for the Exynos model: over the same period of time, it used up 14% more battery power than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 model. This is a big difference.

As for video stabilization, the videos shot by one of the users speak for themselves. Moreover, the second video says that the Snapdragon model, in principle, shoots a little better.
A clear showcase of the worse stabilization on the Exynos model, for those of you who are interested (also for the few who call me fake) Definitely believe it’ll get fixed with a software update tho, because it cannot be this bad.#GalaxyS22Ultra #Exynos2200 #Snapdragon8Gen1 https://t.co/tVjTcldCVb pic.twitter.com/LxEBqw6XD9

The user notes that last year there was exactly the same situation with the Galaxy S21 Ultra on the Exynos and Snapdragon platforms, and now, a year later, Samsung is stepping on the same rake. Why the Galaxy S22 Ultra on Exynos stabilizes video much worse than its counterpart on the SoC Snapdragon is not clear. This may be due to software, and due to other algorithms for the operation of the image processor.
