Two dead from the H1N1 flu in Italy

Two patients they breathed their last in the Vicenza district, in the north Italydue to complications from the flu H1N1. Italian health authorities are appealing to citizens to get vaccinated, but add that the death toll so far is not higher than in previous years.

The people who died were 47 and 55 years old and had serious complications in their respiratory system. Three other patients (two men and one woman) have been admitted to the intensive care unit of the San Bortolo Hospital in Vicenza and their condition is considered critical.

As the Italian media write and the Athens News Agency reports, the evidence so far shows that the seasonal flu vaccine provides protection against the H1N1 virus and for this reason an appeal is made in favor of vaccination, even though we are now in a period of high spread of the flu, as well as the coronavirus.
