Two dead and ten injured in eastern Ukraine from Russian bombings

Two people were killed, 10 injured and a family of three is believed to be trapped under the rubble after the Russian missile attacks that occurred overnight in the eastern Donetsk region UkrainianUkrainian officials said today.

Earlier officials said one person was killed after six rockets hit the three settlements of Pakrovsk, Novorodivka and Mirnokhrad. In the afternoon, rescuers recovered a second body from the rubble, according to Ukrainian police. Police said on the Telegram app that a 33-year-old woman, a 38-year-old man and an eight-year-old girl may be among the ruins of an apartment building in Novorodivka.

Interior Minister Ihor Klimenko said earlier that 10 people including four children were injured and added that nine private houses, a police station, cars and garages were damaged. Reuters cannot independently verify the details. Earlier, the Ukrainian military said its air defense forces shot down 14 of the 20 drones which were launched during a Russian night attack.
