Twelve dead in a car accident in Mexico – the accident caused a van

Local authorities of the state of Tsiuana in northern Mexico announced yesterday, Wednesday, that twelve people were killed and eight others were injured in a traffic accident. The crash caused a van on Tuesday night, between communities of Guatsochi and Yokivo, the State Public Prosecutor’s Office said in a statement released. “The driver of the vehicle that caused the accident abandoned the collision site and then armed from the vehicle,” the same source said earlier. The prosecutor’s office clarified that many of the injured were taken to various state hospitals. Traffic accidents have multiplied in Mexico in recent years. The main reasons are the poor state of vehicles and roads, fatigue or carelessness of drivers, the authorities explain. In one of the most tragic such events this year, a truck collided with a bus, killing 38 people on February 8 in the state of Campcece (southeast). Source: RES
