Turkey: Wants to host ‘quadripartite meeting’ with UN, Russia and Ukraine on grain transportation

THE Turkey is ready to host a “quadripartite meeting” with United Nationsτη Russia and Ukraine for the purpose of arranging the transport of cereals to Black Seasaid yesterday (15/6) the Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlüt Tsavousoglu.

Millions of tonnes of grain remain stranded in blockaded Ukrainian ports or under Russian occupation and their transport is made dangerous by the existence of mines.

According to the Turkish Foreign Minister, the United Nations has submitted a plan to facilitate exports.

The representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Stefan Duradzicreiterated Turkey’s role in this case.
