In the new wave of arrests in the context of corruption investigations against the prisoner of Istanbul, Ekrem Imamoglou, the Turkish authorities proceeded. Arrest warrants were issued at the expense of 53 people, of which 48 were executed, while the rest of the people were wanted. The arrests were made after police raids at dawn in their homes. Among those arrested is the brother -in -law of Imamoglou as well as other relatives of defendants who have already been detained by the first wave of arrests. Among those arrested are also several businessmen and executives of the Kultur As Municipal Culture Society. Also arrested were General Manager, Safak Basa, and other executives of the Constantinople Water Supply Organization (ISKI), a company owned by the municipality.
