The Turkish Ministry of Health announced yesterday Wednesday that 19,095 cases of SARS-CoV-2 were confirmed in the previous 24 hours after 352,438 tests, with the registered infections reaching a total of 9,228,835.
The deaths of 179 patients due to complications of COVID-19 increased the death toll to 80,957 dead until yesterday, March 11, 2020, when the new coronavirus pandemic broke out in Turkish territory.
As for the immunization campaign, from January 14, 2021 until now, almost 52 million people have been fully vaccinated – out of a total population of 83 million – while 56.73 million have received the first dose, according to official data. A total of 126.56 million doses have been administered, including third-party souvenirs.
