American journalist Tucker Carlson respects the first cryptocurrency, but is convinced that it was created by the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).
During a private event at Bitcoin 2024, the former Fox News host noted that Bitcoin is the “best tool in the world” for achieving financial sovereignty.
According to him, crypto enthusiasts are very intelligent and can apparently answer any questions except those concerning the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto:
However, this fact “doesn’t make Bitcoin any less important in transforming the history of technology,” the journalist believes. He also noted that the cryptocurrency “gives the average person the freedom to conduct their own affairs without oversight or control [со стороны правительства]”.
However, for digital gold to fully realize its potential, it must first overcome the barrier of acceptance as a medium of exchange rather than simply a store of value, Carlson said. This requires convincing the public to accept Bitcoin payments and making it more private.
