The reaction on the part of Turkey was furious after official recognition of the Armenian Genocide by Joe Biden.
In a statement, the Turkish Foreign Minister, Mevlüt Tsavousoglou, emphasizes that “words do not change and do not rewrite history”.
“We have nothing to learn from anyone about our past. Political opportunism is the greatest betrayal of peace and justice. “We completely reject the statement, which is based on populism,” Mevlüt Tsavousoglu wrote on his Twitter account.
