Trump reiterates threat to arrest election officials if elected

Donald Trump, the Republican Party’s candidate for President of the United States, threatened this Friday (25) to arrest election officials and political agents if he is elected — reiterating a threat he made last month.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump said he is closely monitoring the election and that “when” he wins, “those people who cheated will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the Law, which will include long-term prison sentences.”

The former president added: “Please be careful as this legal exposure extends to lawyers, political operatives, donors, illegal voters and corrupt election agents.”

“Those involved in unscrupulous behavior will be sought, captured and prosecuted at levels, unfortunately, never before seen in our country,” Trump warned in the post.

This is the former president’s latest threat to weaponize the US justice system against his political opponents if he regains control of the White House.

Trump’s publication this Friday is identical to the one he made in early September.
