With 96% of the votes counted in the state of Georgia, President Donald Trump has 49.6% of votes (2,431,724) and Democratic candidate Joe Biden 49.2% (2,413,184). The difference is less than 20,000.
President Trump needs to keep the difference in this state to maintain the chances of winning. The turnaround here in favor of Biden would put him practically in the presidency, as Trump would need to reverse the difference in Nevada and Arizona (he is more than two points down with 86% scrutinized), in addition to staying ahead in Pennsylvania.
The dollar it is falling on all fronts on Thursday and stocks are advancing, possibly waiting for the electoral question to be resolved in the next few hours.
