United States President Donald Trump did not measure words by attacking Democrat Senator Chris Van Hollen after his trip to El Salvador to meet Kilmar Abrego Garcia, who was deported by mistake for the Salvadorenha mega-master.
“Senator Chris Van Hollen, from Maryland, looked like an idiot yesterday, stopped in El Salvador begging for the attention of fake media, or anyone. Presenter !!!” Trump posted on the Social Truth.
Van Hollen posted a photo after the meeting with Abrego Garcia, which immediately caused some outrage from the right.
“I said my main goal on this trip was to meet Kilmar. Tonight I had this opportunity,” Van Hollen wrote in a post on the X social network. “I called his wife, Jennifer, to convey his message of love.”

The Trump administration was quick to compare Van Hollen’s image with one of Trump meeting Patty Morin, whose daughter was murdered by a saved immigrant without document in 2023 at the Oval Hall earlier this week.
