United States President Donald Trump commented on the crash of the plane carrying six people in Philadelphia.
“It is very sad to see the plane crash in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. More lost innocent souls. Our people are totally engaged. Rescuers are already receiving credit for doing excellent job. More below. God bless you all. ” said Trump in a post on the Social Truth.
A Learjet 55 fell around 6:30 pm (local time) after taking off from Northeast Airport of Philadelphia, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) told CNN in a statement.
The aircraft, which was carrying six people, was on its way to Springfield-Branson National Airport in Missouri, FAA said.
On board was a pediatric patient accompanied by his mother. The two were returning home in Mexico after the child was treated in Philadelphia, said Shai Gold, gate of flight operator Jet Rescue Air Ambulance.
Also on board were four crew, ”said Gold – a pilot, a co -pilot, a paramedic and a doctor.
All people on board were Mexican citizens, according to Mexico’s Foreign Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“At this moment, we cannot confirm any survivor. No name is being disclosed at this time until family members are notified. Our immediate concern is with the patient’s family, our team, their families and other victims who may have been injured in the ground, ”added Jet Rescue in the statement.
FAA and the National Transport Security Council will investigate the accident.
